Gratitude – The Life Style

We continue with the  Music 4 Life® GREAT finale to 2014 Dare to BE Happy Challenge.

Gratitude or Attitude – The SHIFT

Happy Tuesday!!!

We continue with the  Music 4 Life® GREAT finale to 2014 Dare to BE Happy Challenge.  

Last week we focused on Don't BE the Turkey BE the Dessert My AHA was:  No matter how crazy life or people in my life get...it is up to me to do what I need to in order to be the calm in the crazy!!!

This week we will:  Lose the attitudes that do NOT support being grateful.  How do you ask?  With forgiveness.  We will be using a process to forgive ourselves, others and look to our healthy future self for support all with music as medicine assisting us.

This week's Point of Pondering: 

 “Shine Bright” The people who have walked in darkness have seen a great light.  Isaiah 9:2 and Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.  -Proverb


As I pondered these points this week...I discovered MANY people I connected with where pondering them too.  I have done a lot of Buddhist practice in my life especially when I was doing a lot of work with Cancer patients and in Hospice.  One of the most profound exercises I did was meditating about of my own death.  From this viewpoint, I have been able to live fully accepting that everything is impermanent and a blessing.  

 

This week's Point of Pondering:  "The conquest of the fear of death is the recovery of life's joy."  Joseph Campbell

 

Graceful Action:  I will be open to facing the daily deaths of:  who I am, STRONG held beliefs, of things I love, of relationships and of dreams I hold.

Don't BE the Turkey BE the Dessert

Happy Tuesday!!!

We continue with the  Music 4 Life® GREAT finale to 2014 Dare to BE Happy Challenge.  

Last week we focused on Negotiating Your Holiday Win Win My AHA was:  That taking visualization and intention to all areas of my life is what make my life successful, JOYful and happy!!!

You find yourself amazed that the holidays are here and panic struck at the thought of doing one more holiday task or party...you need some inner peace for the holidays.   As my own holiday terror took me in its grip, I took some nice deep breathes and mapped out my action plan to survive this holiday season.  May this help you too.
This week we will:  Support ourselves in staying centered in the the chaos of the holidays while attempting to balance all the things we have to do anyway in our day-to-day life.  I used the quote below last week and it feels right again this week when you remember that so much of the terrorizing we receive in our lives...comes from ourselves!!!

This week's Point of Pondering:

Graceful Action:  I will ACT from this stake in the ground.  

 

As I went though my week doing just this I allowed this week’s grace note to come forward not hunt it down…what a concept…allowing grace…

 

On church program this week:  “Shine Bright” The people who have walked in darkness have seen a great light.  Isaiah 9:2 I cut it out and glued it with glitter Mod Podge to the front of a journal where I will ponder.

 

I was looking through a catalog and found this, “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.  -Proverb

 

I felt called to share this with someone I was supporting via text…then I thought well if I got it then it must be for me too….

Graceful Action:  This week when I am feeling “in the dark” I will BE and live in faith that I am about to become a butterfly in a new way.

We continue with the  Music 4 Life® GREAT finale to 2014 Dare to BE Happy Challenge.  

Last week we focused on Humor at Work - Tapping Into Your Humorous Self My AHA was: I can fluidly use humor as a skill and tool in all areas of my life.  I have been working on this for years and I feel like it is a normal part of my life.  YA HOOO!!!



Being torn apart by having too much to do, too many events to be part of and not enough time, money and energy to do it all?  We will be using tools to support your setting healthy boundaries and having meaningful, joyful experiences during the holidays.  What a concept!  Let’s make it your reality!!!
This week we will:  Visualize your ideal holiday season, say no with grace, spend your time/money/energy in ways that improve your life, use your creativity to gift others, create a holiday intention, and negotiate a WIN WIN for you and all involved!
